Thanks to the New York State Assessment Exams, the past two weeks have been quite stressful for me as a parent of a 7th grader and a 3rd grader. It's been a long time in the making, but the Let All The Children Play (LATCP) Accessible Park & Playground at Eisenhower Park (Field 4) will officially open the first weekend of May!  Described as the "ultimate play space for children of ALL abilities", the Long Island playground will  be filled with custom playground equipment including adapted swings, a wheelchair carousel and more, complete with safety surfacing throughout.
