I can’t believe it’s Friday already. Spending the weekend on business travel from coast to coast will make time go by faster than normal.

Train a Seal, Kiss a Sea Lion! Training Program

If you have ever wondered what it takes to work with the seals or sea lions, you can find out at the Long Island Aquarium this Saturday (and each Saturday through September 29) at 1015am and 2pm. The Trainer Program allows participants 10 years of age and older, the chance to go behind the scenes with the Marine Mammal Staff to learn how they train animals and help Java, the sea lion paint (yes, paint!), Go into the seal exhibit with trainers, Participate in a seal training session and get to pet and feed one of the harbor seals. Fees apply and reservations are necessary.

Little Shelter’s 15th Annual Pet-A-Palooza

Fun for the whole family! Enjoy huge Chinese auction, festivities, games, BBQ and live entertainment. There will be a Blessing of the Animals Service at 3pm on Sunday, along with hundreds of adoptable animals looking for homes. Pet-A-Palooza will be Saturday and Sunday! Celebration: The Wiggles Live in Concert

If your kids love the Wiggles, there’s nothing better than the expression on their face as they see the big red car drive onto the stage for the very first time. One of our favorite kids entertainers are back on tour and are performing on Sunday at the NYCB Theater at Westbury at 1pm & 4pm. Tickets may still be available (and we have a discount code on our event calendar!)

Summer Science

The Long Island Science Center is open on Sunday for Summer Science! Explore the museum, do some experimements and have fun making crafts. All activities are on-going and admission is $5.00 per person.

Weekend Open Play at Once Upon A Treetop

Have you been to Once Upon A Treetop‘s Little City? Kids have the opportunity to explore through interactive play and climb through the giant tree house play unit and they have a great time. Admission costs $12/walker, $6/crawler – Adults & infants are free and Open Play is Saturday from 2 – 5pm.
