With about half of Long Island having already started school last week and the other half starting today, I thought it would be a great way to get back into “school mode” by sharing some great organizing tips I found around the web. There obviously are many more but here are my favorites.
As my kids grow like weeds (especially my son), I am finding myself constantly adding clothes to the “donate” pile. I’m An Organizing Junkie has great (and simple) tips for cleaning out the kids closets for back to school.
After such an amazing summer, who wants to go back to school? Carpools, homework, projects – these are the last things I want to think about right now. Once you read Organize to Revitalize’s Back to School Organizing Tips, you may be closer to back-to-school mode.
I think we took about 800 photos on our last vacation, and that was only over the course of 9 days. I use iPhoto to keep them all organized, but everything lives on my computer. I found this past last year from lil blue boo and I’ve saved it for a reference. I think that this fall, one of my goals will be to print some pictures, following the guidelines in this post, How to Organize and Print YEARS Worth of Photos.
Writing everything down makes it gospel for me. I have everything in my phone calendar but there’s something about writing something on paper that makes it more final. I am definitely going to check out these free weekly planner printables from While They Snooze – love the colors!
