We don’t have to tell you (yet again) how we do our best to get involved with different causes and have joined with a number of groups that raise funds and/or support families with children who have cancer. We did, however, want to let you know about a fantastic event taking place this week.
Join Winthrop University Hospital’s Cancer Center for Kids in raising funds at the Second Annual Rock 2 Beat Pediatric Cancer concert at dinner on Wednesday night, November 10 at 630pm at The Inn at New Hyde Park. In addition to several surprise “guest” performers, the concert will feature Glenn Schifano and His Boy Elroy.
Childhood cancer is a devastating diagnosis for any family, but the mission of the Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop-University
Hospital is to provide the most up-to-date medical treatment in a caring and nurturing outpatient setting, tailored to each child’s needs. Today, more and more children are surviving these diagnoses due to the children’s cancer centers across the countries.
