Not sure I can actually remember the last time I saw a movie that wasn’t animated or geared towards my kids. When my kids were infants, I would have loved to have this program available!
AMC Theaters is inviting parents to see current movies on the first Tuesday of every month at noon for Bring Your Baby Matinees. Bring your crying babies, feel free to breast feed and there’s room for your strollers. The movie theater is considered a baby-friendly zone – lights are brighter, volume is lower and poopy diapers are not frowned upon (they said that, I didn’t!). Plus, your having fun is doing a good deed – part of your ticket purchase will go to the Will Rogers Institute, a nonprofit organization that provides much-needed equipment to neonatal intensive care units and promotes research, treatment and education on cardio-pulmonary diseases.
Note that AMC Theaters are the same chain that started the Sensory Friendly Films – great job with new programming, AMC!
**Update: AMC Theaters are no longer offering Bring Your Baby Matinees. Hopefully they will start up again soon! In the meantime, they continue to offer Sensory Friendly Films**
