Winter’s gone and a sorely needed celebration of spring will take place on Saturday, April 30th starting at noon, in one of the most picturesque settings on Long Island, the Stony Brook Village Center.
Surrounded by budding dogwoods, multi-colored tulips and beautiful Stony Brook Harbor, visitors are sure to enjoy Spring Appreciation Day, jam-packed with festivities such as horse-drawn carriage rides, “Max” from Max & Ruby at Cottontails Children’s Store, musical performances from the semi-finalists of “Long Island’s Got Talent” and WALK Radio playing live, accompanied of course by “Walkie Bear.”
In addition, the Three Village Central School District will be hosting their free district wide K-12 “Spring into Art” Exhibit at WMHO’s Educational & Cultural Center beginning at 11 am. Participating shops and restaurants will also be offering “Spring Bouquet Raffles,” one-day-only storewide sales and free refreshments.
