Take the whole family to the Free Kids Health Day Event on Saturday, September 6 from noon to 3pm at Crossroads Farm at Grossmans (480 Hempstead Avenue, Malverne). This free event is hosted by Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano in partnership with New York State Assemblyman Brian Curran, Senior Hempstead Town Councilman Anthony Santino, and Malverne Mayor Patricia McDonald.
With the entire country focused on making our kids healthier, it is really important that every family encourage our kids to participate in activities that are healthy, fun and exciting so that they can learn to enjoy healthy habits at an early age. We all know how hard it is to break bad habits, so help our kids start good habits early so that they can lead healthy lifestyles.
All residents are invited to participate in this Free Kids Health Day Event filled with healthy cooking classes, juicing stations, hula hoop classes, yoga classes, dental screenings, vision screenings, grow your own herb garden stations, jump rope tournaments, family hip-hop sessions, a child ID program, yogurt stations, and pony rides.
The event is co-sponsored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Coastal Advisors LLC Insurance Consultants, CEO Richard “Big Daddy” Salgado and givethankswalk.org. For more information, please contact Assemblyman Brian Curran’s district office at (516) 561-8216.
