Group shopping is all the rage now and there are probably, I don’t know, thousands of group shopping sites. Groupon, Living Social, Woot, Haute Look – I have a folder of apps on my phone and I check them occasionally. Some deals are better than others, and some sites have better deals than others, but they generally are all very similar.
I just found a new group shopping site called SneakPeeq that works a bit different from the others because it involves and rewards shoppers through social media. SneakPeeq has short sales with new items added all the time, but here’s the kick – you are able to lower your prices by being active on the site. SneakPeeq will present you each day with 3 products that the think you’ll like. Play around on the site and you’ll unlock badges – some of which can lower your prices even more. You can “Peeq” at prices by flipping over the price tag and earn 5 points, share on Facebook for 10 points and save your favorite products for your friends to see. When you buy, you also get 100 points.
Like other social media sites, SneakPeeq also offers the opportunity to earn badges to mark your achievements on the site. The more active you are, the more badges you can earn. And some badges are more than activity markers – they can include discounts, more peeqs, credits or prizes!
