A few months ago, I took my first yoga class and thought it was fantastic. Afterwards, a friend told me that she takes “Hot” Yoga – a yoga class where the studio is HOT (over 100 degrees). I thought she was crazy. She explained that the heat makes it easier to stretch deeper, which prevents injury, relives stress and tension and detoxifies the body and she pretty much swears by this class.
Here’s a great opportunity to get involved with your local community at the First Annual Smithtown Hot Yoga Sweat-A-Thon on Thursday July 14th, 2011 at 8am at Smithtown Hot Yoga (70 East Main Street, Smithtown, NY 11787).
Get your friends and family to sponsor you in your quest to burn calories while supporting a worthy local cause at the same time.
