Say what you will about the Kardashians, but that family knows how to stay in the limelight. They’ve been blessed with good looks, have a mother smart enough to manage these girls into the celebrity stratosphere, and when it comes to their fashion sense, they all have their own, unique signature looks. Their fashion sense and sensibilities come across with their line for Sears, The Kardashian Kollection. I had the opportunity to view their Fall collection as part of last week’s Fashion Week in Manhattan (#NYFW), and their pieces did not disappoint.
The first thing that struck me about their line was their denim selections; with cuts named “Kim,” “Khloe” and “Kourtney,” it was obvious and intuitive which style would be best for you based on which girl your body matches more. For the slight girls, there’s the Kourtney, with low-rise, straight fits, in bright colors and patterns; for the curvier girls, there was the “Kim,” with cuts for smaller, but solid girls, and then “Khloe” for tall, “real” women. I personally loved the Khloe as they were “high-rise”; I don’t know about you, but it’s exhausting pulling up my low-rise pants all day. All of the denim came in different washes, colors and patterns, and ranged from size 0-22; how’s that for representing “the every woman?”
The Fall line-up was also full of day-to-night wear as well as couture looking pieces — without the couture price attached. From peasant-style blouses and bohemian tops, more representative of Kourtney, to fitted trenches that just screamed Khloe, you can tell that each girl has a lot of input into what the Kardashian Kollection will produce. According to their super-star head designer, Bruno Schiavi, each girl does spend a lot of time with him deliberating the bigger decisions all the way down to the minute details – including trim, hardware, and materials used. I had a really nice conversation with Mr. Schiavi, and his inside tip on what to look for with regard to Fall trends included sapphire-colored apparel and bright red shoes — sounds like a fun and colorful Fall!
The entire collection can be found at your local Sears or viewed online, as well as modeled by the girls themselves in so many of the shots the paparazzi take!
