Yesterday, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that they have issued a recall of about 2 million strollers made by Graco.
If you own an older version of the Graco Quattro Tour (manufactured prior to November 2006) or Graco MetroLite stroller (manufactured prior to July 2007), immediately stop using the stroller and contact Graco for a free repair kit. Graco’s toll-free phone number is 877.828.4046. To see all affected model numbers, visit Graco’s website.
The CPSC found that If babies are not strapped into these strollers properly, they can slide through the opening between the stroller tray and bottom of the seat and get stuck, putting them at risk of strangulation. You can, however, continue use of the stroller as a “travel system.” When the stroller is used with the infant car seat, there are no hazards posed by the space gap. Nine injuries have been reported due to this issue.
