This will be the fifth year in a row that we host Thanksgiving at our house. It’s definitely my favorite holiday because it’s a day when our family can just hang around and eat (a lot!) without having to worry about any religious aspect of the day. We usually have about 25 people, including all of the kids, and for awhile, it felt like every year, our family got larger and larger! Now the kids are older and they have a great time playing together while the adults get to enjoy a relaxing day. And the food is always delicious!
As our family grew, our tableware didn’t, and we started to serve on paper plates because (a) we didn’t have enough dishes and (b) disposable dishes offer a much easier clean up with so many people. This year, I found the perfect solution – the ability to use disposables without looking like we’re using disposables. For under $10, Mozaik‘s Service for Eight kit includes 40 pieces – 8 place settings each with a fork, knife, spoon, salad plate and dinner plate. It looks like actual china (and the silverware looks like actual silverware) but is plastic and can be washed (gentle cycle in the dishwasher) and reused. Mozaik offers this Service for Eight in two styles, Classic and Contemporary, and also offers additional coordinating pieces such as platters, bowls, appetizer ware and serving utensils.
To enter to win a Mozaik “Designing Spaces” prize pack which includes Mozaik‘s new 40-piece Service for Eight kit, serving utensils, serving platter and bowl (pictured below), visit Contests & Giveaways before Tuesday, November 30, 2010.
